I loved this climb. Probably in my top 5. Starting early from Sölden, the traffic wasn't bad at all, and the climb itself is very varied, with some straight sections, switchbacks, and varied grades. Great views back into the Ötztal valley from near the toll gates, wonderful scenery in the short descent, and the final few km we were climbing into fog.

Nice climb from Solden.
Climbing is easy to do,
For me in 2021, the first experience above 2200 metres but definitely worthwhile. We will return to Solden this year for the Timmelsjoch.
In cold conditions, take a jacket for the descent. Can still be fresh at that altitude.
