Si on descend le col de la Croix de Fer ou du Glandon vers Allemond, on doit se payer cette rude remontée très casse-pattes, ce qui a été mon cas lors d'un BRA et de deux Vaujany dans les années 90.

Mais cette remontée n'existe que depuis 1989, lorsqu'un éboulement a emporté une portion de la route, qui passait alors nettement plus haut. Suite à cet éboulement, le tracé de la route a été dévié de façon à contourner l'éboulis par en-dessous. D'où cette remontée, rendue nécessaire pour rejoindre la partie de la route restée intacte.

Comme elle fait suite à la remontée du barrage de Grand'Maison (qui n'existait pas avant la construction du barrage), on peut dire que la descente du Glandon/Croix de Fer par ce versant est une des moins reposantes qui soient ! :-)
