Beautiful, very steep above the lake and tiring in the heat... The last part has a bad road surface, but is doable if you are a little careful.

It is my favourite mountain, when I am in the vicinity I simply have to conquer it, as it is the mountain that is most difficult to ride on a road bike. The approach via Guejar Sierra is also fantastic and very quiet. It is very weather-dependent. Down in Granada you start at 35 degrees and when you get to the top it's maybe 10. So you should always have something warm with you for the descent. It is highly advisable to follow the weather forecast, as the climate up there is always tricky. Of the 5 rides we have done so far, only one has had absolutely perfect weather. It's good that you can also follow the route virtually, because I have recorded it for Kinimap: https://videos.kinomap.com/de/watch/qpnt9m
