A fantastic climb made from Cenes de la Vega during the SNL Subida al Veleta event, which can be divided into 3 sections: the first is 17 km to the Repsol petrol station with a very wide road and an average gradient of 6%; in the second section with many hairpin bends and immersed in the forest the average gradient rises to 7% until reaching Hoya de la Mora passing by the ski resorts and leaving the Pradollano area at the bottom, the section ends in front of the barrier. From here it is 8 km to the snow-barred SNL, actually continuing for another 4 km to an altitude of 3,300 m where the marble stump indicating the highest point is located. The road here is bumpy from the start and gets progressively worse. When there is snow, there are places where you pass between walls of snow. The last kilometre is at the limits of practicability.
