Long cobbled climb in the Flemish Ardennes that keeps going constantly. No extremely steep sections, but plenty of gradient and a brisk pace to hold.

The cobbles run almost entirely through, with strips of asphalt here and there along the side that can break it up a bit. As a result, it often feels tougher than you would think on paper.

A regular in the Tour of Flanders: not spectacular, but a real diesel climb that lasts.

This climb is also known from "the lap". The gradient goes up nicely until halfway. After this, it becomes false flat until the top and you can recover a bit.

One of my favourite climbs in the Flemish Ardennes. Has all the classic elements: cobbles and a decent gradient. Especially steep in the beginning, then it flattens out and you can pick up some nice speed. For me, this is a slightly shorter version of the Oude Kwaremont with better bulging cobbles). By the way, the grids of the municipality of Maarkedal are a nice addition. You really feel welcome there as a cyclist.

Not particularly busy (only 1 car passed by during my pretty lengthy ascent), the pavè is in fairly good conditions, not too irregular.
The climb itself is a bit draggy in that there's barely a curve in the road for more than half of it. After the hardest bit starts to subside, there's a slight left bend and you start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel: not long now!

The cobbles are perfect! A magnificent street that makes for a very pleasant climb.

Legendary climb in the Tour of Flanders. The cobbles are in excellent condition (at least, 1 week before the Ronde).

This one always comes out harder than it looks on paper, I suspect because of the combination of its length and average steepness and the state of the cobbles. Where climbs like the Taaienberg are steeper over a very short section, this one is consistently but less steep but overall this makes it harder. If you don't like cobbles you better stay away from this one

I really like this climb. Last time I did it it was pouring rain and that made it even more difficult on the cobbles.
Try to stay away from the asphalt if your legs allow it :)

Not to underestimate! though you have some asphalt lanes on the side, the gradiant and the surprising lenght of it wakes this really hard

One of the only bergs with slope and pavers for most of its length. Wide road with the possibility to ride on the asphalt treads on both sides of the road. Difficulty between the Oude Kruisberg and the Oude Kwaremont.

It's very strange that there is a bit of asphalt between the cobblestones, but it does give you a chance to rest your body (and your bike). The spur after that is, just like the first part, in a bad shape and feels heavier than the percentages suggest.

I did this climb at the end of the RVV red loop.
I wanted to climb the slope on the cobblestones only and leave the asphalt layers aside.
But the climb is so tough that I couldn't resist to ride on the asphalt layers.
A climb that also lasts. The cobblestones weren't optimal either, sometimes they were missing.

This climb has become a little less difficult thanks to the asphalt strips on the sides. If you can resist the temptation and stay on the cobblestones, this is quite a challenging climb.
