After the initial climb, there is a continuous slight up and down, which you will eventually notice in your legs because it is quite a long climb. On the other hand, the scenery is so beautiful that you don't think about it at all. For that it is too much enjoying the meandering cycle path and the variety around you. Can be very busy with other cyclists though - and I was "bothered" by cattle on the cycle path.
Na de initiële klim gaat het continue lichtjes op en neer wat je uiteindelijk wel gaat merken in je benen want het is bij elkaar toch een flinke lengte. Daartegenover is de omgeving dusdanig mooi dat je er mentaal totaal niet mee bezig bent. Daarvoor is het teveel genieten van het slingerende fietspad en de afwisseling om je heen. Kan wel erg druk zijn met andere fietsers - en ik had "last" van runderen op het fietspad.

" But if you throw this climb at the end of a long ride with several climbs - which is fine on the Veluwezoom - then all that false flat is still disappointing. Like a lot of climbs in this region, the scenery here is really enjoyable (forest, heathland, clearings between the trees). You even cycle through a forest of ferns. The Carolinahoeve is quieter and, in my opinion, a nicer break spot than the wildly crowded pavilion on Posbank.
Als je het profiel bekijkt, denk je "ja, doei, dit is toch echt niet zwaar?" Maar gooi je deze beklimming aan het eind van een lange rit met meerdere beklimmingen - wat prima kan op de Veluwezoom - dan valt al dat vals plat nog tegen. Zoals heel veel beklimmingen in deze regio is het hier echt genieten van het landschap (bos, heide, open plekken tussen de bomen). Je fietst zelfs door een woud van varens. De Carolinahoeve is rustiger en naar mijn mening een mooiere pauzeplek dan het razend drukke paviljoen op de Posbank.
Beautiful, long, constantly rising and falling path in even more beautiful surroundings. Really enjoyable. Not quite as challenging as the Zijpenberg, but certainly not inferior in terms of scenery. There are often oncoming vehicles, so be careful with your speed. During the climb, you pass restaurant de carolinahoeve, which is a lovely place to take a break (see photo).
Prachtig, lang, constant op- en afgaand pad in een nog mooiere omgeving. Echt genieten. Qua klim geen uitdaging zoals de Zijpenberg, maar qua omgeving doet deze zeker niet onder. Er zijn wel regelmatig tegenliggers, dus oppassen met de snelheid. Tijdens de klim passeer je restautant de carolinahoeve, dit is een heerlijke plek om even te pauzeren (zie foto).
