The climb starts in a small side valley and is hardly noticeable. Soon it goes slowly, somewhat irregularly up along a stream through a beech forest. After you come out of the forest, the road goes steep up and you understand why there are hairpin bends in it. When you're almost at the top, you come between meadows and you can enjoy the view. In the hamlet Rumscheid you think to be at the end of the climb, but if you continue to Rölvede, you still climb quite a bit. All in all a nice climb... read more

A sheltered climb with very little traffic. For the first kilometre, you think you've taken a wrong turn somewhere, the bike rolls so easily over the asphalt, but it suddenly becomes more difficult at the start of the first hairpin bends. In addition, the open view of the A45 motorway bridge, which is embedded in the green landscape, reveals just how high you still have to climb. However, you can easily find your rhythm and are hardly disturbed by the sheltered location of the climb. From the village of Rumscheid, the pressure drops and you shift back into higher gears. There are then two more waves to the 10%, but these are not a challenge if you have saved up or recovered a few grains.
