I had originally rated this climb with three stars due to the mostly moderate gradient. In the meantime, however, I see many advantages of such a route in a region where such long climbs are rare.

A nice alternative up to Bölling if you want to avoid the shorter but steeper climbs in the region. Nevertheless, there are one or two short stretches in the second half of the climb that come close to 10%. However, these are all overcome so quickly that there are plenty of opportunities to catch your breath. The first half is particularly interesting from a scenic point of view, leading quite closely along the Nimmerbach stream and past small hamlets.
