Less difficult than the other climb from Seffent, but this one is also worthwhile, although not very long. The first part is bouncing cobblestones and then it goes up hard on tarmac. After turning left it becomes almost flat and exactly at that point the tarmac is worthless. Further on the tarmac gets a lot better and the road climbs steeply again. Shortly thereafter you have the endpoint in sight. The way up (especially when you turn left) has beautiful views on Aachen and the valley in front of it.
Minder zwaar dan de andere klim vanuit Seffent maar deze mag er ook wezen, ondanks dat deze (ook) niet lang is. Het eerste deel stuiterende kasseien en daarna gaat het hard op asfalt omhoog. Na linksaf geslagen te zijn wordt het vrijwel vlak en precies op die plek is het asfalt waardeloos. Verderop wordt het asfalt weer een stuk beter en gaat de weg weer goed steil omhoog. Kort daarna heb je het eindpunt in beeld. De weg boven (vooral als je linksaf slaat) heeft prachtige uitzichten op Aachen en het dal er voor.
If you cycle along here you see an ascending cobblestone road between the houses disappear and you become naturally curious. In the end it is not that bad and it is "only" 200 meters of cobblestones at reasonable percentages. Those first 200 meters you just have to hit it full force to get through. After the turn you can take the pressure off your legs for a while and then you have to push hard again for the last 250 meters.
Als je hier langs fietst zie je een oplopend kassei weggetje tussen de huizen verdwijnen en wordt je vanzelf nieuwsgierig. Uiteindelijk valt het mee en zijn het "maar" 200 meter kasseien aan toch wel redelijke percentages. Die eerste 200 meter moet je gewoon vol op rammen om er door te komen. Na de bocht kun je even de druk van de benen halen om daarna de laatste 250 steile meters weer hard te moeten duwen.
