Op het eerste gedeelte, in de Pastorijstraat, kom je redelijk wat verkeer tegen. Hier heb je betonplaten die goed liggen. De helling valt hier goed mee.
Aan het volgende kruispunt volg je dan het verkeersbord "Steenveld - Steyveld". Dan begint volgens mij de echte klim.
Mooie asfaltweg in een holle weg. De hellingsgraad blijkt hier de hele tijd hetzelfde. Hier heb ik het even moeilijk gekregen en ben ik even stilgevallen.
Na een tijdje zie je de top liggen in een woonwijk. Dit laatste gedeelte kan nog pijn doen.
Nergens echt heel steil, maar door de blijvende "hoge" hellingsgraad kan deze helling wel pijn doen.

Fortunately, after a while you have to leave the busier road and turn right and follow the arrow "Steenveld-Steyveld". The wide concrete lane turns into a narrow hollow road that is nicely paved. The 10％ warning sign at the beginning of this lane seems rather like a lame joke to me: agreed, the gradients do rise more steeply here but 10％ never seemed like it to me.
At the next intersection, I turned left to start the descent towards Leming and then Meesberg. That way you string together some fine climbs over a short distance.
De aanloop vanuit Linden is niet de fijnste: desondanks dat de betonbanen nog van degelijke kwaliteit zijn blijven het betonbanen... Het drukkere verkeer vanuit de dorpskern doet er geen goed aan...
Gelukkig moet je na een tijdje de drukkere weg verlaten en rechtsaf de pijl "Steenveld-Steyveld" volgen. De brede betonbaan gaat over in een smalle holleweg die mooi geasfalteerd is. Het waarschuwingsbord van 10％ aan het begin van deze strook lijkt me eerder een flauwe grap: akkoord, de hellingspercentages lopen hier wel feller op maar 10％ leek het mij nooit te halen.
Aan het eerstvolgende kruispunt sloeg ik linksaf om de afdaling richting Leming en vervolgens de Meesberg in te zetten. Op die manier rijg je op korte afstand enkele fijne klimmetjes aan elkaar.
Together with the Chartreuzeberg and the Muur van Wezemaal, one of the nicer climbs in the area. Rises nicely without being terribly hard or difficult. Very nice climb!

No matter how often I do it, I personally just don't get used to the difficulty. The percentages are not that high though. It is very cosy and shady on hot summer days. In my experience there are also not many cars passing by.
Hoe vaak ik hem ook doe, persoonlijk raak ik maar niet gewend aan de moeilijkheid. De percentages zijn nochtans niet verschrikkelijk hoog. Wel heel gezellig en beschaduwd op warme zomerdagen. Naar mijn ervaring passeren er ook niet vaak auto's.
