This climb is a real runner with a very gradual gradient you can really keep your own pace here. Only at the end after the turn-off does the climb get a bit steeper and between the trees the top is only visible at the very last moment. I rode this climb during the Eschborn - Frankfurt Gran Fondo where the entire climb was car-free. During the rest of the year, I do think there is quite a lot of traffic on this.
Deze klim is een echte loper met een zeer geleidelijk stijgingspercentages kan je hier echt je eigen tempo aanhouden. Enkel op het einde na de afslag wordt de klim wel wat steiler en tussen de bomen is de top pas op het aller laatste moment zichtbaar. Ik heb deze klim gereden tijdens de Eschborn - Frankfurt Gran Fondo waarbij de volledige klim autovrij was. Tijdens de rest van het jaar denk ik wel dat hier vrij veel verkeer op zit.
Nice gradual climb indeed, with only a slight increase in percentage at the end. However, there is a lot of traffic that drives fast and sometimes overtakes each other, so lighting is a must; you would almost imagine yourself in the Vosges rather than Germany. At the end of September there is no more catering activity at the summit, so bring your bars.
Inderdaad fijne geleidelijk klim waarbij alleen op het einde het percentage ietsje stijgt. Klim voert door een bos met weinig mooie uitzichten Wel veel verkeer dat ook nog eens hard rijdt en elkaar soms inhaalt, dus verlichting is een must; je zou je haast eerder in de Vogezen wanen dan in Duitsland. Eind september is er op de top geen horecabedrijvigheid meer, dus reepjes mee. Als je een klein beetje het veld in wandelt heb je prachtige vergezichten. Als je afdaalt naar Konigsstein wordt je links getrakteerd op een prachtig uitzicht op de skyline van Frankfurt.
Overigens heb ik de klim per ongeluk 2 sterren gegeven, maar hij verdient er wel 3.
Nice even climb which is also regularly used in the professional race Frankfurt - Eschborn. In the village it goes up false flat. For our "hunters", the Strava segment only starts from the roundabout ;).
There are no really difficult parts. Only at the end it is a bit more than average (7％). There is a lot of traffic and a crossing with a traffic light.
On top of the climb there is an old radar tower and you have a view over the surroundings.
Leuke gelijkmatige klim die ook geregeld in de professionele wedstrijd Frankfurt - Eschborn komt. In het dorp loopt het vals plat omhoog. Voor onze "hunters", het Strava segment begint pas vanaf de rotonde ;).
Er zitten geen écht moeilijke stukken tussen. Alleen op het eind is het iets meer dan gemiddeld (7％). Er is veel verkeer en een kruising met een stoplicht.
Bovenop de klim zit een oude radar toren en heb je uitzicht over de omgeving.
