What a treat and variety! It starts with the well-known Ubbergse Holleweg, a steep cobbled climb between a few fancy houses and a real hollow road. If you want a very varied climb, long rides in the quiet and green surroundings, lots of climbing points and the most altimeters around Nijmegen, this is your climb. After a solid start via the Ubbergse Holleweg (cobblestones), you turn sharply to the left where a narrow asphalt road climbs for a while. Further on, it becomes flat and the asphalt becomes good gravel for a while, after which you take another asphalt road diagonally to the right, which runs relaxed past houses to the finish.

There is little to add to Robert's story, I can only agree that it is a wonderful addition to the standard Ubbergse Holleweg. If you ride the Ubbergse Holleweg full speed, it is tough to keep the pace after the sharp left turn. The bend itself is really steep, and you do it from almost standstill. Right there I had to pass two pedestrians, which provided an extra challenge. The unpaved part was indeed easy to do, I did it on 28mm tyres. Thanks for adding this gem!

What a treat and variety! It starts with the well-known Ubbergse Holleweg, a steep cobbled climb between a few fancy houses and a real hollow road. Instead of the calibrated route straight ahead, turn left when you're almost at the top. Here you shoot into a well-paved cycle path with a vicious and steeper 180-degree turn. Then it flattens out at a small cycle junction and becomes gravel (great for cycling with 25mm tyres). In between the trees you will occasionally meet a walker here, so there is no point in racing. You then turn right into Birch Avenue, a lovely winding asphalt path with some more altitude metres. Eventually you arrive at the false flat-tail of the climb "Hanenberg via Jan Dommer van Poldersveldtweg" (which is worthwhile in itself).
