Weinig toe te voegen aan Robert zijn verhaal, ik kan alleen maar beamen dat het een prachtige aanvulling op de standaard Ubbergse Holleweg is. Als je de Ubbergse Holleweg vol op rijdt (en de beentjes zijn al vol aan het lopen) is het wel even taai om het tempo er na de scherpe bocht naar links in te blijven houden, omdat het nog een hele tijd omhoog blijft lopen. Het bochtje zelf is echt heel steil, en die doe je vanuit bijna stilstand. Precies daar moest ik 2 voetgangers passeren, dat zorgde voor een extra uitdaging. Het onverharde stuk was inderdaad goed te doen, ik deed het op 28mm bandjes. Bedankt voor het toevoegen van dit pareltje!

In plaats van de geijkte route rechtdoor, sla je linksaf als je bijna boven bent. Hier schiet je een goed geasfalteerd fietspad in met een venijnige en steilere 180 graden bocht. Dan vlakt het bij een kleine fietskruising even af en wordt het gravel (prima te fietsen met 25mm banden). Tussen de bomen tref je hier wel eens een wandelaar, dus racen heeft geen zin. Daarna sla je rechtsaf de Berkenlaan in, een heerlijk slingerend geasfalteerd pad met nog wat hoogtemeters.
