Nice relaxed climb through the residential areas. Then quickly descend and tackle a harder climb with the fresh legs

Climb that follows a nice route. First along a slightly wider clinker road past pretty villas's. Then turn right onto a small road (cobbles at first but soon becomes tarmac) that immediately climbs steeply and a little further forms a particularly pretty hollow road through the forest. After leveling off, you come between houses where it is off cycling - but still on a nice little road.
Klim dat een mooi traject volgt. Eerst over een iets bredere klinkerweg langs mooie villa's. Daarna rechtsaf een weggetje (eerst klinkers maar al snel wordt het asfalt) dat meteen steil omhoog loopt en iets verder een bijzonder fraaie holle weg door het bos vormt. Na het afvlakken kom je tussen de huizen waar het uitfietsen is - maar nog steeds over een leuk weggetje.
A very nice climb, not difficult, the steep bit you get over in no time, but what peace and quiet. It was so wonderfully quiet and deserted that the rattling of the vowels was the only sound you heard. I find it a bit like the Rozebos on the Veluwezoom. Een hele mooie klim, niet zwaar het steile stukje ben je zo overheen, maar wat een rust. Het was zo heerlijk rustig en verlaten, dat het ratelen van de klinkers het enigste geluid was wat je hoorde. Ik vind hem een beetje lijken op de Rozebos op de Veluwezoom. Je wordt op een gegeven moment omsloten door hoge aardwallen en stilte, geweldig.
Lovely climb and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. In addition, 1 of the somewhat longer climbs in the region. Definitely worthwhile! You do feel the steep part but it is doable (easier than the Holleweg). I myself did it after 110km and still came up well.
Heerlijke klim en genieten van de mooie omgeving. Daarnaast 1 van de wat langere klimmen in de regio. Zeker de moeite waard! Het steile stuk voel je wel maar is goed te doen (gemakkelijker dan de Holleweg). Ik zelf deed hem na 110km en kwam nog goed boven.

The climb is certainly tough and the surroundings are beautiful. Partly it is a typical hollow road (see photo's) and therefore much nicer to ride than some other climbs in the area. I also do not often see cars here. Because of the profile, the climb is also treacherous. If you start a little too enthusiastically, it takes a long time. If you think you are there, the road is still quite long slightly uphill. The section ends at the same point as the Oude Holleweg. With a small detour via the Van Randwijckweg, you can still climb the latter. I recommend everyone to really look for the Poldertveldtsweg.

De combi Oude Holleweg - Beekmansdalseweg is logischer, en dan daal je de Poldersveldtweg af. Ook ik kies meestal voor die optie. En daarnaast heb je, als je vanuit Nijmegen komt, ook nog de optie om de Ubbergse Holleweg te nemen, dan sla je deze klim ook automatisch over. Aangezien ik ook meestal vanuit Nijmegen kom, maak ik de keuze wel zo nu en dan om de Poldersveldtweg te nemen.
De klim is zeker pittig te noemen en de omgeving is ook heerlijk. Deels is het een typische Holleweg (zie foto's) en daarmee eigenlijk veel mooier om op te rijden dan sommige andere klimmetjes in de omgeving. Ik kom hier daarnaast niet vaak auto's tegen. Door het profiel is de klim ook verraderlijk. Als je iets te enthousiast van start gaat, duurt hij lang. Als je er denkt te zijn loopt de weg nog behoorlijk lang licht omhoog. Het segment eindigt op het zelfde punt als de Oude Holleweg. Met een klein omweggetje via de Van Randwijckweg kun je de laatstgenoemde aansluitend alsnog beklimmen. Ik raad iedereen aan om de Poldertveldtsweg echt eens op te zoeken.
