Nach einem schönen Beginn in einem Tal geht es eine gute Wohnstraße hinauf, ohne das echtes Kletterfeeling aufkommt. Nervig ist, dass man ständig Rechts-vor-Links beachten muss und so in keinen Rhytmus kommen kann.
For in the built-up area - and close to the busy centre of Heerlen - certainly a pleasant little climb from the green valley of the Caumerbeek which, during the climb, also runs partly along on the left. The Caumer mill is also a nice starting point. At the start, the road rises nicely for a while. After the left turn (so you just cycle along with the road) it becomes flatter. The last part you are between the houses but that is already cycling out. There are some speed bumps in the second half but they are not too bad.
Voor in de bebouwde kom - en dicht bij het drukke centrum van Heerlen - zeker een aangenaam klimmetje vanuit het groene dal van de Caumerbeek wat gedurende de klim ook nog deels aan de linkerkant meeloopt. Ook de Caumermolen is een mooi vertrekpunt. In het begin loopt de weg even lekker op. Na de bocht naar links (je fietst dus gewoon met de weg mee) wordt het steeds vlakker. Het laatste deel zit je wel tussen de huizen maar dat is al uitfietsen. In de tweede helft wel wat drempels maar die zijn goed te doen.
