Pretty tough climb where the road surface is not optimal. This is not a problem for climbing but I would plan the descent via Compet to Levico. Those roads are better and wider to descend safely. The end is undulating and once at the top you can undertake the climb to the Panarotta for a few hundred more altimeters after a short descent. You'll find several restaurants along the way, as well as at the summit and just after the descent in Compet. Short on time? Then opt for the ascent of the Panarotta from Levico, which is slightly friendlier.

Lekker vroeg vertrokken vanuit Lago Caldonazzo. In Levico gaat het al meteen rustig aan omhoog. Als de klim begint kun je even “wennen" aan 4 tot 7 ％ om vervolgens de volgende 5 KM niet meer onder de 10 ％ + te komen. Daarna ben je blij met alles onder de 10 ％. Het middenstuk vond ik super zwaar maar het uitzicht was zeer de moeite waard. De klim gaat bijna in zijn geheel onder de bomen en over super slecht wegdek. De afdaling zou ik daarom altijd via de ander kant doen. Deze weg is breed en super strak asfalt. Pas wel op want er zitten in die afdaling een paar verraderlijke strakke bochten bij, waarvan ik er 1 gemist heb. Geen zware verwondingen en fiets heel.
