Nice and early departure from Lago Caldonazzo. In Levico, it goes up slowly right from the start. When the climb starts you can "get used" to 4 to 7 % to then spend the next 5 KM not going below 10 % +. After that, you are happy with anything under 10 %. I found the middle section super tough but the views were very rewarding. The climb is almost entirely under trees and over super bad road surface. I would therefore always do the descent via the other side. This road is wide and super tight asphalt. Be careful though because there are some treacherous tight corners in that descent, one of which I missed. No serious injuries and bike in one piece.

Lekker vroeg vertrokken vanuit Lago Caldonazzo.

I did this climb after climbing and descending the Panarotta, so from the junction with the provincial road. You immediately hit a wall of about 20%. And it actually stays steep all the way up, with various peaks of up to 20%, so it is important not to get too excited. From the last hairpin it is actually over, the last two kilometres can be done on the outside. The view at the top near the village is a nice reward.

The condition of the road surface is also quite bad in several places. While climbing, it does not bother you, but I would not like to descend this road. Take the provincial road a little further on at Compet.
