The road from Masera to Druogno has a lot of traffic on it, at times it's a bit narrow and cars drive quite fast. Still, I thought it was doable by bicycle. There is one long (1.4km) and steep tunnel (see pictures), that's fine by bicycle as it's well lit and there is space next to the road for bicycles.
After Druogno, you reach theVal Vigezzo and there the road is wide and flat for a few km.
The final climb from Malesco to the pass is quiet and lovely through the forest.
