Still, I thought it was doable by bicycle. There is one long (1.4km) and steep tunnel (see pictures), that's fine by bicycle as it's well lit and there is space next to the road for bicycles. After Druogno, you reach theVal Vigezzo and there the road is wide and flat for a few km. The final climb from Malesco to the pass is quiet and lovely through the forest. ... read more

Very heavy traffic, very tight road, not a pleasant drive. 1.5km tunnel 9% uphill so very poor. Only the last couple of km are ok, from the moment the national road turns sideways. Downhill on the other side definitely pleasant.
Zjazd z drugiej strony zdecydowanie przyjemny.
Leaving aside the last 3 km, which are very pleasant with little traffic and relatively low gradients except for the last 500 m, I did not like the rest because of the traffic, especially up to Druogno where there is the 1.5 km-long Paiesco tunnel where there is a space for bicycles on the jump, while on the descent there is gravel in that space, which is therefore inaccessible, but it bothered me a little to go less than 30 seconds without being overtaken by a car.
Beautiful climb but only to be done early in the morning too much traffic 👍
