This side of the Katsberg is less demanding than the alternative from Godewaarsvelde. There is less traffic and the surroundings are greener. Only flaw is the road surface. The asphalt at the start of the slope is bad. Just before the top you have a nice view on the left. Just like at the top, right across the abbey.
Deze kant van de Katsberg is minder zwaar dan het alternatief vanuit Godewaarsvelde. Maar er is minder verkeer en de omgeving is groener. Enig minpunt is dat het wegdek. Het asfalt bij aanvang van de helling bolt slecht. Net voor de top heb je links een mooi uitzicht. Net als op de top, rechtover de abdij.
