Found this side less attractive than the 'Berten' variant. More building towards the end and then there is then wall where everyone has the same feeling: stomping for your life....
Vond deze zijde minder aantrekkelijk dan de 'Berten' variant. Meer bebouwing naar het einde toe en dan is er dan muurtje waar iedereen hetzelfde gevoel heeft: stampen voor je leven...
From the main road turn right and before the house turn right again. At the top of the steepest part, you can see the television tower. The road then turns left in the direction of the abbey.
Inderdaad een mooie klim, Vanaf de doorgaande weg moet je rechts en voor het huis weer rechts aanhouden. Bovenaan het steilste stuk is de televisietoren te zien. De weg gaat vervolgens naar links in de richting van de abdij.
Personally I find the best way to climb the Katsberg, especially the last part via the Ruelle du Cimetière. It's a bit tricky to find this street, but once you're there it goes up very steep along the cemetery. It's only a few dozen meters long, but I've seen several friends die on it, you wouldn't expect this after the long gradual climb! Great fun!
Vind ik persoonlijk de leukste kant om de Katsberg te beklimmen, vooral dan het laatste stukje via de Ruelle du Cimetière. Het is goed uitkijken om dit straatje te vinden, maar eens je hier zit gaat het supersteil omhoog langs het kerkhof. Het is maar enkele tientallen meters lang, maar ik heb er al verschillende vrienden goed op zien sterven, je verwacht dit niet na de lange geleidelijke klim die voorbij is! Dolle pret!
