This slope is a good example of a slope where the devil is in the tail. The first 800 m are easy to do. But the closer you get to the Ariënpoort the steeper it gets. Once you've passed through the old gate it's a close call to the picturesque center of Cassel. Be careful when descending on the cobblestones.
In short, a nice, not too long slope. Only flaw is the road surface where in some places the top layer of the asphalt crumbles away.

Deze helling is een mooi voorbeeld van een helling waarbij het venijn in de staart zit. De eerste 800 m zijn goed te doen. Maar hoe dichter je bij de Ariënpoort komt hoe steiler het wordt. Eens je doorheen de oude poort bent gereden is het nog even doorbijten tot boven in het pittoreske centrum van Cassel. Wel opgelet tijdens het afdalen op de kasseien.
Kortom een mooie, niet al te lange helling. Enig minpuntje is het wegdek waarbij op sommige plaatsen de toplaag van het asfalt afbrokkelt.
