This tree is as annoying as the transmitter mast on the Eyserbosweg.

Nice climb. Very nice and quiet! Last few metres was really raking.

Leuke klim. Erg mooi en rustig! Laatste paar meter was echt harken.

By starting in Montroux, you add just a few extra altimeters before starting the real 'Les Waides'. Typical climb for this region, nice and quiet and great views over the farmland. Before the top, climb briskly and sprint off towards the big tree on the right at the road. Nice mikpunt👌🏻

Mooi mikpunt👌🏻

For a large part really good road surface, seems fairly recently patched. Feels like 2 separate climbs. After the first part you really get to the top and you get a piece of descent. The 2nd part is pretty good, in the village you turn left (looks straight on the map), once you come between the houses you see the steep part, here it is also quite hard. As soon as the road bends to the left, the percentages level off again. If you are at the top, it is still to the main road to get to the highest point.

Similar to the "standard" climb to Les Waides because the last (and the toughest) three quarters of the climb is equal to the other one. Because you come from the direction of Mortroux you do make more altimeters but part of that route runs between houses.
The climb starts with a good percentage and where it flattens out you turn right and continue upwards. Between the houses a flat piece and then a steep descent with beautiful views of what is yet to come. Then a nice swing upwards, into the small road and then a big push to get to the trees at the top. In the second part and especially at the top really beautiful views.
