The second part, however, is boring. This section goes up false flat between houses. Nice to pound on the outside blade though! Do it anyway if you are in the area!
Dit is een klim met twee gezichten. Het begin is prachtig en voelt echt als een lekkere klim met mooie percentages. De haarspeldbochten liggen hier mooi en je hebt een fraai uitzicht. Het tweede gedeelte is echter saai. Dit stuk loopt vals plat omhoog tussen de woonhuizen. Wel lekker om op het buitenblad te beuken! Toch een keer doen als je in de buurt ben!
The climb starts in Warsage and runs more or less parallel to the climb of Bois de Winnerotte. The first two kilometres are the toughest and the steepest part of the climb is around the turns. Once you get to the first side road on the right it flattens out to false flat until the junction with Winerotte.

Een moeilijk te beoordelen klim. Het tweede deel is saai tussen de huizen door, deels vals plat maar ook deels stukjes die je wel als "klim" mag beschouwen. Het stuk daarvoor is echter buitengewoon fraai qua slingerende weg, landschap en uitzicht tot aan het Maasdal toe. De aanloop hierheen is maar kort tussen de huizen en dan zie je de klim al liggen. Het gedeelte tot het 2 km-punt zou zonder problemen van mij 4 of zelfs 5 sterren krijgen, vanwege de lange en saaie uitloopt nu toch een ster minder voor de hele klim.
Optie is dus: Na het mooie gedeelte volgen nog twee steile rechte stukken. Zodra het afvlakt tussen de huizen omdraaien (er zijn helaas geen zijwegen) en het stuk weer naar beneden rijden. Het is namelijk ook een heerlijke afdaling (met goed wegdek) waarbij je de weg fraai onder je ziet slingeren.

Beklimming die nergens moeilijk wordt, maar wel met een vervelend lang stuk vals plat erna. De klim is landschappelijk nog wel mooi, maar dat is snel afgelopen en het vals plat gaat dan grotendeels door het (niet heel fraaie) dorp.

Top warming up climb if you're cycling towards Herve / Chaudfontaine for the heavier mountains. Road surface is not great, but the slow ascend and the length of the climb make sure you gain a lot of altimeters.
Top opwarm klimmetje als je richting Herve / Chaudfontaine fietst voor de zwaardere bergen. Wegdek is niet top, maar de langzame stijging en lengte zorgt er toch voor dat je flink wat hoogtemeters pakt.
