Fine running climb on nice wide road with little traffic. After the first summit (Schaentzel) a descent and then another stretch of nice climbing. Again, the crowds were not too bad now, but that will be disappointing in the season when I see how big the car park at the castle is.
Watch out for pedestrians!

Meanwhile, the road is fine, very wide road (the first part up to Col du Schaentzel) with some traffic but not super busy. Then a short descent and very very good road surface a bit after that. If you turn left on the road towards the castle, you come to a busy road. Lots of people visit the castle but the road is wide enough not to get run over. It's still quite a serious climb, even in the car park (where you do have to watch out for tourists). At the top, you have a nice view :)

All in all, a nice climb but there are nicer climbs nearby. I descended towards Bergheim, that side as a climb seems nice too!

The road was resurfaced in spring 2022, in gravel, too bad.
The climb is not very difficult. The other accesses are more interesting.

Road with some traffic. Lots of gravel, better to do it uphill. Not very hard, no view, forgettable
