Firstly, you climb out of a residential area into an extensive meadow landscape with trees on the right-hand side until you reach the Haarkreuz. Although the climb itself is not as steep as the alternatives via Birkenstraße or Kreuzstraße, the ascent is still quite difficult due to the irregularities.

This climb starts quietly in the village but still between the houses the percentages suddenly go up significantly. After you have left the village you get a beautiful road in front of you with very nice views to the right. In the forest the road descends a little bit and then you turn sharp left. Soon you see the Haarener Kreuz on the top in front of you. This part also offers views to the right. All in all a very nice climb that you also quite feel.
