Mighty climb that has no end but is doable. If you take it easy you will get to the top. Note that there are very few stopping places along the way for any co-riders. After Restaurante las Estrellas, not long after turning onto the TF-38 El Teide, there are no more restaurants to refill your water bottles up to the top either; from here it is at least another 30km.

The standard route if you start on the west coast. Fine road to drive with good tarmac. Few hairpin bends but lots of long, straight stretches and gentle curves. Nice views over the sea and higher up also nice forests.
