Over a distance of 3km after the car park, it has an average gradient of 12.1%. The climb itself is mostly in the forest with very few delivery cars overtaking you. Unspectacular scenery but a huge challenge from a sporting point of view! Once you reach the top, you are surrounded by beautiful scenery with sweeping views of the Zugspitze etc. The forest ends at the end of the climb.... read more

When you cycle out of the village and climb to the valley station, the hard work only begins. From then on, it is a steep and challenging climb. The major part is good in terms of road surface. Before you get to the gravel path, the road has been renewed and is therefore passable. There were a few cars driving when I did the climb. There were mostly a lot of electric mountain bikers. Beautiful scenery and a nice climb. Nice to have done once.

A typical Austrian climb. Steep, steep, steep, constant percentages 13, 14 and 15% to peaks towards 20%. The climb is not long, a good 3 km of real climbing. Personally, I would estimate the average of the climb to be between 14 and 15.
Please note that you cannot go all the way to the top with a road bike. 440 m before the summit, it becomes a gravel path, so if you really want to see the view-on-top, you will have to walk a bit. Which is not really obvious on gravel with SPD pedal blocks. But in terms of altimeters, with a mere 9 metres to go, you are actually on top of the climb.
Nice climb for the power-hungry.
