Beautiful climb when you reach the top. However, the way you reach it is quite insane. Just after Les Avants you hit two switch back corners. After the first one you think, "ah, we are going to get a bit of a steep part", luckily this feeling is soon diminished as you lay your eyes on the second switchback. A nice 20+% gradient awaits you! You may think, naively as I did on my first ascent that this will only last until around the corner. But that is definitely not the case!!!!

700m @ 20+% (max I registered on my garmin was 26%, on three different occasions). The profile given on this website is NOT CORRECT. The 13% kilometer is definitely much steeper than that! If you plan to take your spouse, be prepared to sleep on the sofa for the next couple days as I almost had to for not identifying this ridiculous gradient beforehand.

For people who prefer to deviate from this, you have the possibility to take the other ascent to the top from Montreux via Caux. This is much more balanced in gradient. You'd be better off descending this route (if you feel confident in descending steep, narrow roads).

View at the top is excellent, and on a good day you only see a handful of cars on this part, most of the cars go via the Caux road.

If you have a mountain bike, or some rough gravel tires, you can also attempt to ascent/descend on the other side of the mountain. Towards Les Cases, you can either take the golden pass express train back through the mountain or continue your way to Gstaad and then Bulle for a nice 100+km loop.
