The climb only gets nice once you ride out of the village of Ventron. The other side is more fun to ride up than this anyway.
De klim wordt pas mooi zodra je het dorp Ventron buiten rijdt. De andere kant is sowieso leuker om op te rijden dan dit.
Very fine and therefore a fun climb. Very comfortable because of the good road surface and easy percentages. The scenery is beautiful, quite open and nice and green. Quite a different picture from the other side.
Erg fijne en daardoor ook een leuke beklimming. Zeer comfortabel vanwege het goede wegdek en de makkelijke percentages. De omgeving is mooi, vrij open en lekker groen. Een heel ander beeld dan de andere kant.
Only descended during a huge downpour. Was absolutely no fun, went very fast and my brakes couldn't really hold up. Partly because there are hardly any hairpins in it, so it was still straight down, steep descent. Managed to stop along the way and asked for a lift down.
Expect it to be much more fun to ride on than off with the weather conditions I was facing.
Alleen afgedaald tijdens een enorme stortbui. Was absoluut niet leuk, ging heel rap en mijn remmen konden het eigenlijk niet houden. Mede doordat er nauwelijks haarspeldbochten in zitten, dus het blijft recht omlaag, steil afdalen. Onderweg kunnen stoppen en een lift naar beneden gevraagd.
Verwacht dat hij veel leuker is om op te rijden dan af met de weersomstandigheden waarmee ik te maken had.
The last part of the climb has new tight asphalt (July '23). At the bottom they were still working on it (I thought from Ventron), which made that section a little less enjoyable to ride.
Otherwise a climb to get in nicely. The descent to Kruth is cool though, because of the many hairpins.
In het laatste deel van de klim ligt nieuw strak asfalt (juli '23). Onderaan waren ze nog met werkzaamheden bezig (ik dacht vanaf Ventron), waardoor dat stuk iets minder lekker reed.
Verder een klim om lekker in te komen. De afdaling naar Kruth is wel gaaf, vanwege de vele haarspeldbochten.
A climb that is not much, but let's be honest, that is also nice sometimes. I rode up it from La Bresse and then on to the Grand Ballon. This climb was a good warming up.
Een klim die weinig voorstelt, maar laten we eerlijk zijn, dat is ook weleens fijn. Ik reed hem op vanuit La Bresse om daarna door te rijden naar de Grand Ballon. Deze klim was een prima warming up.
Easy climb. First part is not spectacular, but after Ventron it becomes more fun. I did this climb in combination with the col de bramont and the col de la vierge.
Eenvoudige klim. Eerste deel is niet spectaculair, maar na Ventron wordt het leuker. Deze klim gedaan in combinatie met de col de bramont en de col de la vierge
