A beautiful climb and recommended. Anno 2020 the tarmac was still beautiful. The climb is irregular and with a steep in between, you can find yourself well against. Someone in a good condition can enjoy himself here and in a brisk pace up.
As a descent also nice to do, although the high speed and the amount of bends makes it a more technical descent. There is quite a lot of traffic on the climb, so pay attention during the descent. As a bike you can easily go down faster than most cars.

June 2019. Not hard and lovely tarmac plus 6 hairpin bends views none but came across Chapelle de Saint Nikolas further forest. Our stay Camping Le Schlossberg near Kruth great place. (Including Grand Ballon (with a fantastic view at the top, if you're in the Vosges must certainly have done once), Col du Hundsruck, Col du Bramont, Col de Breitfirst in the neighborhood) In short it is nice uphill cycling in the Vosges. please.

Juni 2019. Ons verblijf Camping Le Schlossberg nabij Kruth prima plek. (o.a.

We recommend to turn off just before Ventron (on the other side of the col) in the direction of the climb to Le Grand Ventron: beautiful road through woods and streams, easy going (5-6%) and on top nice views. Just be careful in the descent because of the state of the road.

Nice, stable climb. I've done 'm 2 years ago, unfortunately at 5 degrees and pouring rain (in August, mind you!). If you at the top of the Oderen still a kilometer or two (relatively flat / false flat down) by cycling, then you left into the forest to the Col du Page and then descend to Bussang.

Lekkere, stabiele beklimming.

Very nice climb on great tarmac. At one and a half km after the summit, turn right in the descent to climb the Chaume du Grand Ventron. This is another 5 km climb to 1150m altitude.

Great climb to do. Nice view too, except on the top. There is also another col next to it, col de plage I believe.

At the end of a ride, the uneven climb makes it a difficult col.
