Nice tarmac, many hairpin bends and little traffic. The standard tour from Bled takes this as a descent, but you can go up of course :). The last part is worse asphalt, for climbing that does not matter, but in the descent you have to pay attention.... read more

A climb at the start, then more rolling at the end. No view as the climb is in the middle of the forest.

The first 3 kilometres are really tough, then it eases off. But the road is really bad after that, before coming to a fairly rolling finish.

I did this as the first one of the day. I can't say much about the view. I had all the trouble in the world to get the pedals round on the first few kilometres. This is a good example to show that an average % rating sometimes says little about the difficulty of a climb. Idd 6%, but the first part I imagined myself back on the Mortirolo. What a terrible climb. More often than not, the bike computer showed 16, 17 and more on the first stretch. 8% or 9% was there to catch my breath. Certainly not my favourite as I prefer an even climb. Since half of the climb (part 2) is actually just false flat or flat, I think this climb loses climbing points. I found it much harder than other cols with more climbing points.
I took the descent via Gorjuse. Actually, I would have preferred to go that way. It is much more balanced, but also longer and I feel it has more hairpins. The number of beautiful views is also higher there. And at least no double digit averages.

A very nice climb, which you have to wriggle out of, especially in the beginning, with a number of kilometres well above 10%. Beautiful surroundings, hardly any traffic.
