The climb from Saint-Jans Cappel starts just after the roundabout (clearly marked with signs). It goes up very gently in the beginning. You always stay on the main road and that makes it a nasty climb. Halfway up, it reaches its peak (> 10%) with a gentle spur. From the top you quickly head for the border (FR - BE) and you can take the Vidaigneberg and the Baneberg (!) on the same road.... read more

It starts at a sad roundabout. Our route joins the Berthen side route, so the end is identical. A more demanding end than the dull start. The road is beyond reproach and motorists know it. I'm still not won over by this Mont Noir. The Mont des Cats remains by far my favourite.
