Beautiful climb with very nice views. In the beginning it bulges smoothly, yet sometimes intervals of about 8 to 9 %. The last 5 to 6 kilometres I regularly saw 10 and more pass by on my GPS. The traffic is not too bad, there are many motorbikes but they don't hinder. A rear light is certainly not an unnecessary luxury (tunnels).... read more

Of the climbs in the immediate vicinity, this one gives you the most sense of conquering a real Alpine col. Not so much because of the heaviness, but because of the length, the increasing steepness and the height. Especially in the first part of the climb, you pass a number of tunnels. A lot of traffic on the way, but that doesn't bother you much as a cyclist.

A really nice climb from valley floor to the pass. Great variety of scenery and climbing which ranges from gentle to steep ramps.
This climb can easily be combined with others in the area and well worth doing.

A very nice climb with beautiful views! The climb starts calm and gives you time to warm up the legs. Then there are some very steep passages, which also give you a beautiful view over the valley. This climb is definitely a must, although I would leave early because many motorcyclists and (car) tourers also want to enjoy this beautiful road.
(Don't forget to take the lights on your bike, tourists sometimes have trouble driving and overtaking in tunnels!)

I did this climb after Furkajoch in a round trip to Lech with the flexenpass. Was a very nice day.
This climb was disappointing because it was harder than I expected.
The higher you get the more beautiful the landscape becomes.

The climb starts calmly from Schoppernau through a nice narrow valley. At the village of Schröcken it starts to get steeper and the road goes through viaducts with some wide curves. Here the view is really spectacular. Towards the pass you end up on a plain between two mountain ridges. The pass itself consists of parking facilities for winter sports and is nothing special.
