Long live the e-bike! Because thanks to this means of transport with an auxiliary motor, cycle paths are now being built that in the past would really not be there. This climb is a good example because where there used to be a steep footpath, there is now a beautifully constructed and smooth asphalt strip (about 300 meters long) with ridiculous percentages for a bike path. You start from the valley of Die Göhl / La Gueule (also a nice approach route from Moresnet) with a nice view on the railw... read more

Long live the e-bike! Because thanks to this means of transport with an auxiliary motor, cycle paths are now being built that in the past would really not be there. You start from the valley of Die Göhl / La Gueule (also a nice approach route from Moresnet) with a nice view on the railway viaduct of Moresnet (at the top you have a nice view again). Between the houses it rises nicely, at the crossing with the bicycle path (RAVel) it's flat for a while after which you can go straight on and push hard to get up. Further on the cycle path flattens out a bit but it is still hard going. On the main road you have to turn left. Because you end up in a bend, you have a good view on approaching traffic to both sides. The main road is a lot flatter than the bike path and is quite undulating. The effort makes it a lot harder than you would expect, also because of the length.
