Long live the e-bike! Because thanks to this means of transport with an auxiliary motor, cycle paths are now being built that in the past would really not be there. This climb is a good example because where there used to be a steep footpath, there is now a beautifully constructed and smooth asphalt strip (about 300 meters long) with ridiculous percentages for a bike path.
You start from the valley of Die Göhl / La Gueule (also a nice approach route from Moresnet) with a nice view on the railway viaduct of Moresnet (at the top you have a nice view again). Between the houses it rises nicely, at the crossing with the bicycle path (RAVel) it's flat for a while after which you can go straight on and push hard to get up. Further on the cycle path flattens out a bit but it is still hard going. On the main road you have to turn left. Because you end up in a bend, you have a good view on approaching traffic to both sides. The main road is a lot flatter than the bike path and is quite undulating. The effort makes it a lot harder than you would expect, also because of the length.
