Beautiful climb. From Huben you start with some steep pentes.
Then you go dozens of kilometers with false flat. What you can call a climb doesn't really start until 12 km before the top.
It is beautiful though. At the top you have a lake.
In the climb you have one gallery + tunnels, where drivers are warned for cyclists. TOP! About 8 km further on, there is a long tunnel. When I passed it today, they were constructing a new gallery-tunnel. So that is still to come. Apparently there should be a good bike path by next year.
I went up to the top and then down on the same side. But I have the impression that it is often narrower on the Italian side. If I have understood correctly, you may from Austria on the hour, only the first quarter down. Best take into account! Was a serious queue of cars's.

Mooie klim. Vanuit Huben start je met enkele steile pentes.
Dan ga je tientallen kilometers aan de slag met vals plat. Wat je een klim kan noemen begint eigenlijk pas 12 km voor de top.
Die is wel mooi. Bovenaan heb je een meertje.
In de klim heb je één galerij+tunnels, waar de automobilisten gewaarschuwd worden voor fietsers. TOP! Een achttal km verder heb je een lange tunnel. Toen ik er vandaag passeerde waren ze een nieuw galerij -tunneltje aan het aanleggen. Dus dat komt nog. Blijkbaar zou er tegen volgend jaar ook een goed fietspad moeten liggen.
Ik ben tot de top gegaan en dan langs dezelfde kant naar beneden. Maar ik heb de indruk dat het zoals zo vaak aan de Italiaanse kant smaller is. Want als ik het goed begrepen heb, mag je vanuit Oostenrijk op het uur, slechts het eerste kwartier naar beneden. Best rekening mee houden! Stond een serieuze wachtrij auto's.
