From Baneheide, just before the built-up area of Bocholtz, you turn onto ....weg towards Orsbach in Germany. Actually, it's just a long stretch of false flat
Vanaf Baneheide ga je vlak voor de bebouwde kom van Bocholtz de Orsbacherweg op richting het Duitse Orsbach. Eigenlijk is het gewoon een lang stuk vals plat wat niet echt zwaar is. De beklimmingen vanuit Mamelis naar Orsbach zijn pittiger en mooier.
This road to Orsbach is not really a climb. Especially if you compare it to the other steeper variants. A reason to avoid it is the very bad road surface.
Deze weg naar Orsbach mag je eigenlijk geen klim noemen. Zekers als je het vergelijkt met de andere veel steilere varianten. Een reden om deze ook te mijden is het zeer slechte wegdek.
The stretch between the border and Orsbach was resurfaced last year and is now in good condition. The rest of the climb the asphalt is also OK (it already was).
Het stuk tussen de grens en Orsbach is vorig jaar opnieuw geasfalteerd en nu dus prima in orde. De rest van de klim is het asfalt ook OK (dat was dat al).
One of the most relaxing climbs to ride from Bocholtz to Orsbach. Between the fields, the road slowly climbs to the border. Between the border and Orsbach is a very bad piece of tarmac (about 100 meters). Nice option is to turn right at the crossroads and then keep left. Via a steep climb you reach Orsbach without too much bouncing.
This route is more fun (because it's greener) than the one via Vlengendaal. From the border (and a climb to Orsbach) towards Bocholtz it's a nice downhill ride and the combination is more fun than the route along the N281.
Eén van relaxte beklimmingen om vanuit Bocholtz naar Orsbach te rijden. Tussen de velden door klint de weg langzaam omhoog naar de grens. Tussen de grens en Orsbach is een heel slecht stuk asfalt (zo'n 100 meter). Leuke optie is om bij het wegkruis naar rechts te gaan en dan steeds links aan te houden. Via een pittig klimmetje kom je dan Orsbach in zonder al te veel gestuiter.
Deze route is leuker (want groener) dan de route via Vlengendaal. Vanaf de grens (en een beklimming naar Orsbach) richting Bocholtz is het een heerlijke afdaling en de combi is leuker dan de route langs de N281.
