Vanaf Baneheide ga je vlak voor de bebouwde kom van Bocholtz de Orsbacherweg op richting het Duitse Orsbach. Eigenlijk is het gewoon een lang stuk vals plat wat niet echt zwaar is. De beklimmingen vanuit Mamelis naar Orsbach zijn pittiger en mooier.

Eén van relaxte beklimmingen om vanuit Bocholtz naar Orsbach te rijden. Tussen de velden door klint de weg langzaam omhoog naar de grens. Tussen de grens en Orsbach is een heel slecht stuk asfalt (zo'n 100 meter). Leuke optie is om bij het wegkruis naar rechts te gaan en dan steeds links aan te houden. Via een pittig klimmetje kom je dan Orsbach in zonder al te veel gestuiter.
Deze route is leuker (want groener) dan de route via Vlengendaal. Vanaf de grens (en een beklimming naar Orsbach) richting Bocholtz is het een heerlijke afdaling en de combi is leuker dan de route langs de N281.
