Nice climb with almost an ideal profile; first a run-up then very steep but regular for a long way and the last part it flattens out a bit. It is still a steep climb but without very steep sections. The scenery is beautiful; first through a rocky valley and then between alpine meadows. The road is excellent and quite wide, which attracts some motorbikes. There is traffic but not bothersome

Started a loop from Peschiera through vineyards on back roads to join onto a flat and quiet cycle route at the bottom of the valley towards Avio. As other reviews mention, the road goes up from here straight away and is relentless so make sure you have plenty of food and water. The two restaurants at San Valentino were shut so not great for desperately needed top up of water and food but managed to find a well placed water fountain at the side of the road just up from the village which I was very happy to see. Managed to stop at a lovely restaurant right at the top - Rifugio Graziani. Make sure you pace the climb and you'll be fine! The decent back down requires decent brakes which my hire bike didn't have due to low pads and worn discs so couldn't go full speed but still enjoyed the very long decent back down to the flatter level. Nice day out and would recommend 👌.

Beautiful, but not to be underestimated climb. The lack of spectacular views is made up for by rock faces and steep flanks. Just before the lake (at about 1050m altitude) I turned left (the SP230). This is very steep at first, and then easier. At some point you will pass the Bocca di Navene, which is a strip of 50m or so, where you can look across to the lake, and have a spectacular view of Garda. (Of course, you can also pass there on the descent, unless you take the descent to Mori).

My favorite climb when I am on holiday around Lake Garda.
From Avio you cycle along the water and out of the village up and it actually starts from the first meter.
Once you cross the stream you disappear into the woods and rocks and the first 10km are the toughest of the climb.
If it softens then you come to a t-junction and you can also left and counterclockwise cycling upwards, but now you keep following the road right along the small reservoir.
Now you come to the second part and it doesn't get higher than 8%.
Halfway you have a place to stop, otherwise it is climbing to the top.
As the description indicates, this last part contains 2 narrow rock tunnels in a row and beautiful green views.
All in all still a 20km climb and if you don't blow yourself up in the first part, a very nice climb.
