Good runner who runs well until halfway through you suddenly feel the road rising further. Then you really need to step up a gear. The road is somewhat boring although at the end it offers nice views over the left. Reasonable asphalt and a good connection to the valley of the Voer but then you should also take the part from the railroad tunnel which also goes - a little more than false flat - up. But from Remersdaal there are nicer climbs possible.
Goede loper die lekker loopt totdat je halverwege ineens de weg verder voelt stijgen. Dan moet er echt wel een tandje worden bijgezet. De weg is wat saai al biedt deze op het eind wel mooi uitzicht over links. Redelijk asfalt en een goede verbinding naar het dal van de Voer maar vanaf Teuven moet je dan ook het deel vanaf de spoortunnel meenemen wat ook al - iets meer dan vals plat - omhoog gaat. Maar vanaf Remersdaal zijn er leukere klimmen mogelijk.
Overigens had ik windkracht 5 tegen en dan wordt het best een zwaar vermoeiende klim. De wind kan hier dus duidelijk flink huishouden.
I didn't find this a very special climb. If you come from the direction of Teuven, the road for Remersdaal already starts to climb false flat. In the village begins the real climb. It is then mostly straight climbing where you can suffer from the wind. Also the tarmac is not super. There are nicer choices around here.
Dit vond ik niet zo'n bijzondere klim. Als je vanuit de richting van Teuven komt begint de weg voor Remersdaal al valsplat op te lopen. In het dorp begint de echte klim. Het is dan veelal rechtdoor klimmen waarbij je veel last van de wind kunt hebben. Ook het asfalt is niet super. Er zijn mooiere keuzes hier in de buurt.
This is not the nicest climb towards Aubel / Hagelstein, it's straight through the village of Remersdaal, from the railway tunnel it's already a bit false flat before you enter Remersdaal. So the climb is a bit longer. Nicer alternative is the Kloosterhofstraat which is a bit closer to Teuven.
Dit is niet de leukste klim richting Aubel / Hagelstein het is rechtdoor het dorpje Remersdaal, vanaf de spoortunnel loopt het wel al wat vals plat omhoog voordat je Remersdaal inrijdt. De klim is dus wel wat langer. Leuker alternatief is de Kloosterhofstraat die iets dichter bij Teuven ligt.
Straight up through the village of Remersdaal. Not a very special climb. Enough alternatives in the neighbourhood that are more worthwhile.
Recht toe recht aan omhoog door het dorpje Remersdaal. Niet een hele bijzonder klim. Genoeg alternatieven in de buurt die meer de moeite waard zijn.
Actually it goes up already from Sinnich, if you descend the Kasteelstraat you get there at the deepest point and you can start to climb false flat. This first part is nice, especially from the railway tunnel on it has nice tarmac. The real climb from Remersdaal is always a sad piece of road. Old asphalt, sad Belgian houses and electricity wires still above the ground. Once you're out of the village, the scenery is beautiful. If you turn left at the top, you can go all the way up to Henri-Chapelle.
Eigenlijk loopt de wel al vanaf Sinnich omhoog, als je de Kasteelstraat afdaalt kom je daar op het diepste punt en kun je vals-plat beginnen te klimmen. Dit eerste stuk is mooi, vooral vanaf de spoorwegtunnel ook mooi asfalt. De echte klim vanuit Remersdaal vind ik altijd een triestig stukje weg. Oud asfalt, trieste Belgische huizen en elektriciteitsdraden nog boven de grond. Als je eenmaal het dorpje uit bent is de omgeving wel prachtig. Als je boven linksaf slaat kun je tot Henri-Chapelle vals-plat door omhoog gaan.
Not a spectacular climb, the road is quiet and the road surface is okay. The view you have at some places is worthwhile.
Geen spectaculaire klim, de weg is rustig en het wegdek is oké. Het uitzicht wat je op sommige plaatsen hebt is wel de moeite waard.
Nice running, quiet road, but otherwise not very special. Asphalt was fine and fits nicely into many laps here.
Lekker lopend, rustig weggetje, maar verder niet heel bijzonder. Asfalt was prima en past mooi in veel rondjes hier.

Not a very special climb indeed. But it does have a very nice view just before the top on your left hand. With a view on: Flanders, Wallonia, the Netherlands and Germany!
Niet zo'n heel bijzondere klim inderdaad. Maar wel met een bijzonder fraai uitzicht vlak voor de top aan je linkerhand. Met zicht op: Vlaanderen, Wallonië, Nederland en Duitsland!
