One of the many ways to climb the Heikantberg. Via the Heirbaan you take extra running metres, with a spur to about 4 percent. The first part of the Wilgenlaan quickly rises to 6 to 7 percent, but the hardest part awaits you in the Wandeldreef. The stretch there is a bit longer and a bit steeper than you would think, it can hurt here.... read more

Nice climb of the Heikant mountain on this side. Typically the climb is done in steps because the mountain is a rather narrow hill on the border of Rotselaar, Wezemaal and Betekom.
The horizontal roads are rather flat or slightly ascending and descending, while the vertical roads on the map or south-north are quite steep to very steep.
The Heirbaan is already a good warm-up that hurts more than you would expect and then the Wilgenlaan is almost a turn back and steep up. Once passed the turn it's barely uphill till slightly downhill and then turn right into the Berkenlaan and then left up the Wandeldreef which is a real wall at the end. Definitely worthwhile to take this route to drive up the Heikant mountain.
