One of the many ways to climb the Heikantberg.
As is often the case, the approach is from the Heirbaan, where you gratuitously gain a few altimeters via the slope that rises to about 4 percent. After a short descent you make a very short right turn, one street earlier than the climb via the Olmendreef. The section you turn on soon goes up to 6-7 percent, but just as quickly it levels off again to a slight downward slope.
The last bend felt heavier to me than the actual 'Muur van Heikant'.

Eén van de vele manieren om de Heikantberg te beklimmen.
De aanloop neem je zoals zo vaak vanuit de Heirbaan, alwaar je gratuit enkele hoogtemeters meepakt via de strook die oploopt tot een 4-tal procent. Na een korte "afdaling" maak je een zeer korte rechtse bocht, een straat eerder dan de beklimming via de Olmendreef. De strook die je opdraait gaat algauw richting de 6-7 procent, maar vlakt even snel weer af tot een lichte dalende lijn.
Het laatste knikje voelde voor mij zwaarder aan dan de feitelijke 'Muur van Heikant'.

Nice climb with a very steep end. The part of the Heirbaan and the first part of the Eikenlaan is slightly ascending but the last part of the Eikenlaan and then the Olmendreef is very steep. Attention for the hikers because the roads here are very narrow.

Leuk klimmetje met een zeer steil einde. Het gedeelte van de Heirbaan en eerste deel van Eikenlaan is lichtoplopend maar het laatste deel van de Eikenlaan en dan de Olmendreef is zeer steil. Opgelet voor dewandelaarswant de weggetjes zijn hier zeer smal.
Geniet van deze mooie omgeving want dat is het zeker.
