The most beautiful, the longest and the biggest I have managed to pass so far. The views are incredible. It really is worth seeing it from the perspective of a bicycle saddle, I heartily recommend it!

Najpiękniejszy, najdłuższy i największy jaki udało mi się dotychczas zaliczyć. Widoki są niesamowite. Naprawdę warto go zobaczyć z perspektywy siodełka rowerowego, serdecznie polecam!

A truly fabulous climb. The views are stunning the whole way up. The temperature from bottom to top was extreme on this ride. It was very chilly at the top and raining/ sleet (June), so take appropriate clothing. The toll road was the toughest part due to the wind. To see the frozen lake was amazing. The ONLY downside were the number of buses on the route! Two cruise ships disgorging thousands of passengers does have a downside for the roads. You need to be very careful on the descent, as the buses really block the road on corners.

Wonderfully beautiful climb with views that are second to none. We parked our camper at the campsite at Lake Geirang. All the days you are here, you feel as if you are in a dream.

Totally agree with the others that this is a great climb! If you have been to Trollstigen, or are just in Geiranger you really MUST do this one. The views don't stop and one overwhelms the other.

The real work starts when you take the turnoff to Dalsnibba. A nimble cyclist can get past the barrier without dismounting, which is well worth the effort, because lacing your shoes on this slope is an art in itself.

The toll by car is €30 and it makes you happy that you, the happy cyclist, can experience this spectacular view for the cost of a few hours of suffering. After the short hairpin bends, the road rolls up the mountainside. A relentless right turn, which seems to get steeper and steeper. Because you can't see the top of the road, it seems like you're not making any progress! But once you hear the roaring engines of the descending campers, you know that you are almost there. Because about 800m before the end, the road flies down and you see the viewpoint. But unfortunately, you won't get it for free, because just as you descend, the road rises three times as steep for the last 200 metres.

The tourists at the viewpoint really look at you like they want to go and get the AED for you, but after a minute of hanging over your handlebars and heaving you rest enough to really enjoy the view!

You can stand on the grating and see the whole road you just climbed, from fjord to glacier!

P.s. for the bike adventurer there is a hidden gem! About 40% up, there is a gate for a very old bridge with a very old gravel road. This is forbidden for motorised traffic, but as a cyclist you can cycle on it. The road turns 270° to the right and turns over itself via the small bridge back to the road, in total maybe 150m but certainly worth the effort to take in the history of the road!

The most epic climb I've done - I mean, how often can you ride on paved roads from sea level to the very top of a mountain!? Spectacular viewpoint on the top..

I also rate it harder than Juvasshytta, despite what the maths say..! I think it's because of the sheer length of it, and the last 5km being the steepest. An hour around 7% gradient is hard enough and then to do another half hour around 10% - hits you like a wall..!

Superb climb. Busy but always safe distance. I did the climb on 12 June. Still a lot of snow from 1000 meter. Provide sufficient clothing for the descent. It didn't rain at the start but it did during the descent. The weather can change quickly here (in June).

Schitterende klim.

By far the most beautiful climb I have done! The waterfalls, views and differences in landscape are really unsurpassed. Too bad that it is quite busy, but do it!

Because of the views a great climb. The road can be a bit busier in the summer, but generally the traffic in Norway is very civilized.
