This irregular ascent is made on a little frequented road and allows to discover at the bend of a curve the magnificent southern slope of the Sainte-Victoire mountain, emblematic summit of the region. Beautiful photos to be taken with the reddish earth in the foreground...
The only real difficulty of this ascent lies in the double lace that precedes the arrival at the village of Saint-Antonin-sur-Bayon: the slope there exceeds 9 % for a few hundred meters.
Personally I find this climb more pleasant than the one from the Col des Portes via the Col de Claps, on the D10 north of the Mont Sainte-Victoire.
