Si j’ai bien compris, si cette version du Col des Saisies est mal notée, c’est en raison d’une trop importante circulation automobile. Je l’ai empruntée ce jeudi après midi et honnêtement, c’était parfaitement supportable. C’est vrai que l’on croise quelques camions, des voitures et pas mal de motards. Bah oui, c’est la Route des Grandes Alpes. Et les cyclistes ne sont pas les seuls à l’apprécier. J’ignore ce qu’est la situation au mois de juillet, mais, ce 11 juin, je n’ai pas été gêné par un trafic insoutenable.
La route est bonne. Les paysages sont agréables sans être à couper le souffle. Les pourcentages non plus ne coupent pas le souffle. Un col roulant, jamais lourd qui offre même une descente au niveau de l’intersection pour Hauteluce.
La station des Saisies est constituée de jolis chalets. Les architectes sous drogues et les spéculateurs véreux n’ont pas été invités à sévir. Les vaches paissent sereinement devant les tunnels des remontées mécaniques. Pourvu que ça dure.

the first part of climb to turn off to hauteluce is rather dull and full of trucks cars and motorbikes when i rode it this morning (13/6/24). after hauteluce the scenery is better with nice views and expansive fields full of wildflowers. col des saisies had a few cafes/ restaurants open which was great tho it’s just a ski resort, no views. descent via D123 was exciting, no traffic and not too bad surface.
