I didn't really like this climb. The road surface was also mediocre in some parts. You reach the top of a somewhat ugly ski resort. There are much nicer climbs nearby.

Climbed this side from Annecy. The climbing actually starts from Ugine. Until Flons, you ride on a relatively busy road gradually upwards (this part is not in this profile). Beautiful road along the river, with one or two tunnels. 4 km before Flumet you can turn right over a bridge and start to climb according to the profile. Profile shows it's a tough climb, with flat parts in Crest-Voland and a few kilometers after this village. Until Crest-Voland you climb between the trees and this can cool down in hot summers, but it takes away the view. After Crest-Voland you have beautiful views and after the first kilometers after the village (steep kilometers), the last part is somewhat easier. Ski resort Les Saisies itself is barren and gray.
