Very irregular climb but beautiful scenery. Narrow and quiet road along its entire length where you alternate between steep sections and even some descents. Difficult to get into a rhythm.
Heel onregelmatige beklimming maar wel een mooie omgeving. Smalle en rustige weg over de gehele lengte waarbij je afwisselt tussen steile stukken en zelfs wat afdalingen. Moeilijk om in een ritme te komen.
The Col de Pierre Levée is reached via a narrow road that is fortunately rarely used.
It has a very irregular profile with gradients ranging from 1 to 12.5 ％ which are quite hard on the legs, especially if you climb it at the end of the route.
Even if it's not THE pass you'd especially make the trip for it does, that said, offer some beautiful panoramas.
It's on the northern edge of the Cévennes, so the Mediterranean vegetation doesn't offer much shade, so watch out for the heat in summer ☝️
Le col de Pierre Levée s’atteint par une route étroite et heureusement très peu fréquentée.
Il offre un profil très irrégulier avec des pourcentages allant d’1 à 12,5 ％ qui cassent assez les jambes surtout si on le grimpe en fin de parcours.
Même si ce n’est pas LE col pour lequel on ferait spécialement le déplacement il offre ceci dit de beaux panoramas.
Il se situe à la limite septentrionale des Cévennes, la végétation de type méditerranéen n’offre de ce fait pas beaucoup d’ombre, attention donc à la chaleur en été ☝️
