My comments will be the same as for the other side. This side is shorter and steeper, but this pass is still no hidden gem...
The main D4085 runs through the forest of the Gorges du Verdon. While these gorges are superb, the forest of the same name is rather ordinary. At least from this busy main road.
The route is good, but this climb is more of a transitional stage to be added to a more ambitious route. There are so many more exciting climbs around the Verdon!

After 100 km in scorching Provençal heat after Valferrière, we started the last climb of the day in La Bâtie on the way back via the route Napoléon to Castellane. Actually not a good idea because, lots of traffic during the summer months. Fortunately, the track is wide enough but there are no ways out. So a good rear light type Bontrager Flare R or Lezyne strip alert drive is more than welcome to alert following traffic of your presence. Reached the top fairly empty, but still rode a PR.

Climbed on 2 April 2021 on the south side; from the Alpes des Hautes Provence / Var border (D4085 -D52A). Steady ascent. Good road surface. Little traffic in spring and autumn.
