The D4085 runs through the forest of the Gorges du Verdon. As superb as these gorges are, the eponymous forest is rather ordinary. At least from this main road, which is too busy with all kinds of vehicles.
The slope is gentle and the road is good, but this climb is more of a transitional stage to be added to a more ambitious route.
La grande D4085 traverse la forêt des Gorges du Verdon. Autant ces gorges sont superbes, autant la forêt éponyme est plutôt ordinaire. En tout cas, c’est le sentiment qu’elle donne depuis cette grande route trop fréquentée par les véhicules en tous genres.
La pente est douce et la route est bonne mais cette montée est davantage une étape de transition à ajouter au sein d’un parcours plus ambitieux.
