Une belle montée dans un quartier plutôt tranquille, avec assez peu de voiture. Le revêtement est bon tout au long de la montée. La pente est assez régulière mais assez raide, sauf au sommet où elle s'adoucit
A tough climb without really extreme gradients. It only really starts after the turn at the beginning. There are some road blocks to slow down the traffic. That's not very handy when a car comes down and you just cycle up at the same place. Besides the effort, you also have to be careful not to get trapped between the car and the traffic inhibitor. The times that I cycled up there, there was always medium to heavy traffic. And unfortunately not every driver is as patient with "slow" cyclists. But nevertheless I always make a detour for it.
Pittige klim zonder echt extreme stijgingspercentages. Hij begint pas echt na de bocht in het begin. Er zijn wel enkele wegversmallingen aangebracht om het verkeer te remmen. Da's niet handig als er een auto naar beneden komt en jij net op diezelfde plaats naar boven fietst. Naast de inspanning, moet je dan ook nog eens goed opletten dat je niet tussen de auto en de verkeersremmer"geklemd" raakt. De keren dat ik er omhoog fietste, was er altijd gemiddeld tot veel verkeer. En helaas is niet elke chauffeur even geduldig met "trage" wielertoeristen. Maar desondanks rijd ik er wel steeds een ommetje voor.

Inderdaad een stevige klim door de toch langere afstand aan hoge percentages. Persoonlijk als ik naar Waver ga kom ik van Overijse via de N4 en ga ik langs hier terug richting Ottenburg.
Whichever direction you come from, the (approach to the) Wall of Wavre doesn't carry much beauty. The climb itself is nice because it's quite long and the gradients are quite high (at least for the region). Occasionally a car can pass by, but they usually stay behind you.
Van welke richting je ook komt de (aanloop naar de) Muur van Waver draagt niet veel schoonheid in zich. De klim zelf is wel leuk gezien hij redelijk lang, redelijk hoge stijgingspercentages aanhoudt (voor de streek althans). Af en toe kan hier eens een auto passeren, maar die blijven dan meestal achter je.
