Twofold climb and somewhat difficult to judge. On the one hand, there is a very nice approach route along the reservoir possible after which you ride up through the forest on deserted tarmac roads, snappy at first, then a bit quieter but after turning right there is a nice stretch on a straight road uphill. By far the most enjoyable part of the route. What follows after the first 2.5 kilometres, however, are over 8 endless kilometres on a wide connecting road with lots of solid flat and sometimes a more palpable slope. Eyes on infinity but your hearing on edge because there is sometimes extremely fast driving (although most cars're pretty decent and you can't call it very busy either). But yes, you do ride towards the highest point of Belgium, you get a lot of altimeters and the environment does change as you get higher. That's worth some bonus. So, combined with the beautiful start, 3 points.
